Benedikt Empl (Master of Science), was gained practical experience as a production engineer in a medium-sized company after completing his bachelor's degree in wood technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Rosenheim. The master’s degree in Resource-efficient and Sustainable Building at the Technical University of Munich enabled him to focus on research in construction. He has started to work at the “Research and Development” department at the FIW München as a student trainee and did his master's thesis with the subject area of sufficiency as a sustainability strategy in living in cooperation with the department. Since graduating in 2021, he has been working as an engineer and performs building modeling and data analysis tasks. He has a particular research interest in sustainable building and timber construction.
