The Supervision Body of FIW München

Supervision is defined as an active control to ensure that the manufacturer of a building product meets the requirements of a supervision principle (usually a German national technical approval).

In particular:

  • Auditing of factory production control (FPC) in production plants

  • Sample taking in factories, on construction sites or from the market and transferring them to notified testing laboratories whose scope of testing meets the requirements of the monitoring principle

  • Transfer of the auditing and product testing results to the certification body

In the German national building regulation the responsibilities of testing, supervision and certification bodies are being defined. FIW München has been accredited as supervision body by the national construction authority.

The European Construction Product Regulation completely allocates the task of supervision to the notified certification body. A separate inspection body is not planned.
This is also valid for accredited, voluntary certification programs.
